Over the past three months the members of the Leeds Book Awards book club have been reading the six shortlisted books and today they voted for their favourite one.

The shortlisted books that they had to choose from were:

• Poppy’s Hero by Rachel Billingham
• Hitler’s Angel by William Osborne
• Gods and Warriors by Michelle Paver
• Granny Grabbers’ Wizz Bang World by Charlotte Haptie
• Fright Forest by Martin Sedgewick
• THe Demon’s Watch by Conrad Mason

Many had difficultly choosing which was their absolute favourite and without giving too much away the voting was very split. Now we just have to wait until the Awards ceremony in Pudsey on 21st May to find out which book has one overall.
