Saviour Pirotta

Author, Saviour Pirotta will be visiting school on Thursday 26th March.

Many of you will be familiar with his stories based on mythical tales particularly his ones from Ancient Greece which are also his passion.  

Saviour will spend the day with children from KS1 and KS2. He will be telling stories and running workshops for the children and at the end of the day there will be a book selling/signing opportunity.

Harry Potter Book Night

Last night four groups of children represented Harry, Cedric, Fleur and Viktor in the Tri-Wizard Tournament. They competed against one another in a series of three tasks where they use courage and daring to steal the golden egg from the dragon, saved their loved ones from the Black Lake and the clutches of the merfolk by creating gillyweed bathbombs and finally navigated their way around the maze and located the Tri-Wizard cup. They also had the opportunity to interact with some owls.

World Book Day Celebrations

Today we celebrated all things bookish and dressed up as Wally and Wenda. 

In the school Library and throughout the school more stories were shared and children took part in Wally themed activities including a scavenger hunt. 

All children will also receive a World Book Day voucher which they can swap for a World Book Day book at participating retailers.

World Book Day

On Thursday 5th March as part of our World Book Day celebrations we will be inviting children to come to school dressed as Where’s Wally (or Wenda).

We will be hunting for Wally throughout the day and sharing stories with one another.

Everyone will also receive a £1 token which they can swap for a World Book Day Book (available at book shops and some supermarkets). There are lots to choose from….
