Today 10 children accompanied by Mrs Johnson and Miss Whiteley attended the Leeds Book Awards Award Ceremony at the Pudsey Civic Hall.

Over the past 4 months, the children had been reading the 6 shortlisted titles, writing reviews on the Leeds Book Awards website and discussing the books. Then finally they had the opportunity to vote for their favourite.

Almost 50 Primary schools and 450 children participated in the awards all of which were invited to the ceremony.

Poet Craig Bradley provided the entertainment and announced the winning book and author…..
