Today Mrs Johnson and Miss Whiteley accompanied 9 children who have been reading the Leeds Book Awards six shortlisted titles to the awards ceremony at Pudsey Civic Hall.

The event started with poet Craig Bradley who everyone thought was hilarious. Then 4 of the shortlisted authors and one of the illustrators were introduced and there was time for a Q & A session before the winner was announced.

The winner of the Leeds Book Awards 2015 is……….

After the ceremony finished everyone had the opportunity to meet the authors and get their books signed.

Before returning to school the group visited Waterstones for a browse, juice and a biscuit!

A lovely day was had by all.
