This term there are lots of exciting library events being planned……
Friday 26th September – Dress Up Dahlicious Day
We will be celebrating all things Roald Dahl in particular the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which turns 50 years old this year! Also we will be dressing up as a character from one of Roald Dahl’s books to raise money for Roald Dahl’s Children’s Charity.

Thursday 2nd October – National Poetry Day
This year’s theme is Remembrance so we will be sharing some poems filled with memories and having a go at writing our own.
Monday 6th – Friday 10th October – Children’s Book Week
To celebrate Children’s Book Week we will be recommending our favourite books to one another.
Ilkley Literature Festival – Monday 13th October
Year 6 will be travelling to Ilkley to visit the festival and to take part in a special event with author Morris Gleitzman.

Jason Beresford – Thursday 23rd October
Local author Jason Beresford will be leading a special assembly to introduce ‘The Fabulous Four Fish Fingers’ to school followed by sessions with years 3 and 4.
There will also be a book selling and signing session.
