Don’t forget it’s the Leeds Book Awards Ceremony on Thursday at Pudsey Civic Hall!
Nine children from Year 5 and 6 will be attending the Awards Ceremony where the winner will be announced. The children will then have the opportunity to meet 4 of the 6 authors and also one of the illustrators.

Today the Leeds Book Awards group voted for their favourite book.
It was really divided, the votes cast were:
A Roomful of Chocolate by Jane Elson = 1 vote
The Case of the Exploding Loo by Rachel Hamilton = 2 votes
The Imaginary by AF Harrold = 3 votes
Gabriel’s Clock by Hilton Pashley = 1 vote
Circus of Thieves and the Raffle of Doom by William Sutcliffe = 1 vote
A Boy called Hope by Lara Williamson = 1 vote
The Awards ceremony will be taking place on Thursday 21st May where the winning book will be announced.

Miss Whiteley will be talking to years 5 and 6 about the Leeds Book Awards over the next week or two. This year there will be 8 children that will be able to participate.
